Job Position:   Sr. Systems Engineer (Electro-optical)

Job Description:

Participate as an experienced Sr. Systems Engineer in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary design team creating state-of-the-art Flash LiDAR cameras for Space and DOD applications.  The immediate need is to support the development of 3D Flash LIDAR for Navy Relative Navigation.  Candidates should have a background in system engineering for optical or electro-optical systems.


  • Lead system hardware development
  • Lead system prototype integration and testing
  • Develop test plans and calibration procedures
  • Develop specification and requirements documentation
  • Lead design reviews
  • Design and prototype next generation lasers for Flash LIDAR
  • Design and build laser test equipment
  • Support transition to manufacturing
  • Support laser safety program
  • Support testing of Space LIDAR systems
  • Support business development and proposal generation

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in test and qualification of Space and Military systems
  • Experience with Matlab
  • Experience with optical modeling codes (ZEMAX, ASAP, LASCAD)
  • Lasers and imaging system experience a plus
  • Knowledge of LabView, C++ a plus


  • BS in Physics, Optics, Electrical or Electro-optical Engineering
  • MS or PhD preferred


  • 8-12 years electro-optical experience
