Global shutter flash LIDAR (gsf-LIDAR) is the real time 3D imaging / ranging sensor modality of choice for digital elevation mapping, relative navigation, domain awareness, object tracking, sensor fusion and augmented reality applications. Gsf-LIDAR is a true solid state, non-scanning, time of flight (ToF) based 3D imaging technology that provides motion distortion-free, organized point clouds at video rates. Each data point is four dimensional, composed of a set of relative azimuth angle, relative elevation angle, distance, and intensity values which are updated at the end of each frame period. Range gating allows the sensor to image / range through obscurants such as dust, fog, rain, and snow. Gsf-LIDAR sensors are compact, lightweight, and durable and suitable for a wide range of space, airborne, terrestrial, and marine applications.
Advanced Scientific Concepts LLC (ASC) invented the first focal plane array based global shutter flash LIDAR (gsf-LIDAR) sensor. Subsequently, ASC has developed gsf-LIDAR 3D video camera solutions for a wide variety of applications ranging from space to autonomous vehicle. Our dedicated team of engineering, manufacturing, and business professionals are committed to best-in-class gsf-LIDAR products for the space, military, manned airborne, and in / through water markets.
